What exactly is the Blog Directory?

An idea came to my mind that why not have a blog which in itself is a blog directory? So using the blogger API, I developed a service where you can submit your own blog with various info about the the blog. So why late? You can go and submit your blog at http://myjavaserver.com/~tomorrowist/addBlog.html.
Wish you a happy blogging experience!

The White Path

Blog Name: The White Path
Blog Owner: Mustafa Akyol

Mustafa Akyol is a Muslim writer from Turkey. (In Turkish "Akyol" means "the white path," hence the name of this website.)

Akyol was born in Ankara in 1972 and had his early education there. Later he graduated from Istanbul Nisantasi British High School and from the International Relations Department of the Bosphorus University. He had his master thesis on the Kurdish question at the History Department of the same university.

Since mid 1990's he has been working on an advisory level with several foundations in Turkey, including the Intercultural Dialogue Platform, a moderate Muslim initiative. Since 2002, he has been working as a columnist in the Turkish press and writes pieces for Turkish daily newspapers such as Referans, Radikal and Zaman.

In the past years he has given seminars in several universities in the U.S. and the U.K. on issues of faith, science, religious tolerance and issues relating to Islam.

Mustafa Akyol's articles on Islamic issues, in which he mostly argues against Islamic extremism and terrorism from a Muslim point of view and defends the Islamic faith, have recently appeared on publications like The Weekly Standard, The Washington Times, The American Enterprise, National Review, FrontPage Magazine and IslamOnline.

He lives in Istanbul and is currently working on a book titled Rethinking Islam for the 21st Century, which he plans to have published in 2006. He also has two forthcoming books in Turkish, namely Rethinking The Kurdish Question and The Opium of The White Turks.
